Ruranga - weaving

To complement Brian's pic, I've used the wide angle sketching lens of the same scene which was a hive of industry.

The tradition for ketes is that you must give your first one away.  The plaiting must be tight, so multiple pegs (clothes pins) or hair clips are often used by beginners.

As sketchers we were made to feel most welcome.
