From Sea to Shining Sea - New York

Over July/August this year I traveled through America, visiting four cities and staying about a week in each one

Fourth and final stop - New York.

America is huge and amazing. I loved it.

I found the Sketch Book Library in Brooklyn

Over 30,00 sketchbooks from round the world.
So cool

Statue of Liberty - seen all round the world.
Actually a very affecting and moving place.

The amazing architecture of the Guggenheim Museum

My sketch notes taken while attending a presentation at the Guggenheim.
I met the Event Coordinator who liked my sketch.
Subsequently featured on the Guggenheim Instagram account!

Unfinished sketch as the food was so yum!

The High Line - a disused elevated railway line, turned into a funky walking path with gardens, water features and sculptures!

  1. Man, I wish I'd known you were going to the Brooklyn Sketchbook Project library. . .I would have told you to look mine up! :-)

    1. Actually, on the day I went, they had a Craft Market happening, so their Librarians weren't able to search for books. Rather, they just left a couple of piles of books on the table to browse through
