Over the Jervois Quay road at Wellington there is a passage that takes you to the other side closer to the water, but this it not just a passage it´s more than that, is the place to find a high point of view, a place to seat at the sun and also a piece of art. A clever way of solving a problem and creating diversity spaces within the city.
Love those Para Matchitt sculptures!
ReplyDeleteOla Mario, you have captured that quirky space well. Wellington has some fine wood/metal sculptures. In the past I've tried to capture some of Cliff Whiting's modern work at the Te Papa marae.
ReplyDeleteLast time I was there the kids hid inside the sculpture walls behind the beams and they wouldn't come out! Scott those Whiting 'carvings' in the marae must have been tricky with so much detail?
ReplyDeleteAh Wellington - my original home town.
ReplyDeleteI've walked the city to sea bridge countless times
Wellington was a very inspiring place to me, so colourful and vibrant!
