New Zealand Odyssey

I walked past Arty Bees second hand book shop last week and this book caught my eye in the window.  'New Zealand Odyssey' by Don Donovan and Euan Sarginson.  It is a collection of watercolours and photos of places throughout New Zealand.  The watercolours and text by Don and photos by Euan.  It's a lovely book and I really like Don's watercolours.  I bought the book.  Sadly Don Donavan died in May 2014 and Euan Sarginson in 2004.

    I bought this book recently myself and it's a beauty. Just shows how good sketches are as historical record - when you look at the Auckland spread (4th image), almost everyone of those buildings is either long gone or changed beyond recognition. The old Auckland Club is now an 80's bronze glass bunker!

    Wow, this book looks amazing! I wish I could order it to Germany...The Urban Sketchers Aotearoa should also do a book together with all the recent sketches of NZ architecture!
