So fun to draw all the old bricks, flaky paint etc, especially on the kraft paper. Really nice that everything in this city isn’t completely redeveloped, shiny and corporate

Government House Gardens
We had a great day sketching the Governor General's house and gardens.
The message afterwards was that Dame Patsy Reddy was most impressed, and invited us to return in the Spring when the gardens would be blooming.

Ponsonby Central
We visited one of Auckland's favourite foodiedestinations - Ponsonby Central.
The cool breeze and rain didn't bother us, and there was lots to sketch at every turn... plus a nice finish with beverages and Turkish coffee afterwards!

Urban Sketchers freeze at the High Court
A good turn out for last weekends meet at the High Court. Court was closed on a Saturday but we're still looking for whose liable for the cold southerly that so successfully made sketchers fingers too cold to continue. We started to lose sketchers two hours in so an appeal was made to wind up proceedings early so we'd still have enough left for a group shot! Finally adjourning to Mezze Bar in Durham lane to warm up.
