Let’s Sketch Wellington - Sequeira Luz family

We had a great time in Wellington and were spoiled for choice of nice scenes to draw.
We met a good group of interesting people and got to go trough their sketchbooks when catching up in cool cafes. Our Sunday morning meeting point was in Aro valley, we had never been there before and loved it, the best thing was it was just a short walk from the farmers market so we went there for chestnuts and a quick sketch. Thanks Dave, Andrew and all the Wellington Sketchers for the warm welcome!

A Rainy Saturday in Cuba Street

These are my drawing from the sketch crawl in Cuba Street last month.  Cuba Street hosts many cafes, bars and shops.  Some of the cafes and bars have covered tables in the street, making it a good place to draw in the rain.  Buskers usually perform, but not that day, due to the rain.  The Bucket Fountain is in Cuba Street.

Behind Cuba street

Behind the bustling world of Wellington's Cuba street is a quiet world of dilapidated graffiti. The carpark on Bute street.

Fidel's Café, Cuba Street

Fidel's is a bit of a Wellington institution. Great muffins, slices, and milkshakes, and coffee which comes freshly roasted from around the corner.
